In the year 2011 IGSSS announced an Annual Award viz., SHRESTHA PURASKAR for excellence, to recognize organisations/individuals who have contributed to its growth and helped the organisation to fulfill its vision of providing LIFE, FREEDOM, and DIGNITY to a cross section of the Society who are deprived of the basic rights.

Each year the Award would be presented to organizations/individuals who have made significant contribution in the field of development. This year the award will be presented for Urban interventions. Those NGOs/Individuals who have made considerable contribution to transform urban India into community-driven, totally sanitized, healthy and livable cities and towns are the target groups.

To acknowledge their contribution, IGSSS hereby announces SHRESTHA PURASKAR to recognize organisations / individuals for excellent performance in the field of Urban Development.

The Awards will be presented during the National Consultation of our CityMaker's Programme be held on March 13, 2012 at the India International Centre, New Delhi...
