Established in 1960, Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) is an Indian development support organization(NGO in India) that works with a vision to empower the poor and marginalized sections of society.
The organization works across four core areas in 17 states of India: Sustainable Livelihood, Youth Development, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Urban Poverty.In all the above four core areas Gender and building leadership at the community level and the NGO level are the strategic focus.

Tears of joy welled my eyes, to see the CityMakers (homeless citizens) families: children, youth, women , men, elderly ... elated to sleep peacefully in a shelter. A shelter that we created / crafted , by involving the CityMakers (CMs) themselves. A roof and walls – all of canvas, and it became a home. more [+]
