Disaster Risk
Reduction

To keep up with the pace of present frequency and intensity of disaster, IGSSS has established Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) team in the year 2010. The team works for mainstreaming of disaster risk reduction.

Urban Poverty

As per the 10th five year plan (2007- 2008), there was a shortfall of 24.71 million houses (approximately 2.5 crores) in urban India., 90 per cent of this shortfall affects the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) and LIG.

Gender

Women being an integral part of the society have an equal bidding in all the activities that are taken up culturally, socially, economically and politically. But women are found to be the most marginalized and the most vulnerable.

Human Rights

Medical Sponsorship

Poverty and absence of any social security/medical insurance for the poor in India renders the rural poor extremely helpless in the face of life threatening diseases. Malnourishment makes them all the more vulnerable and inadequate health facilities in rural areas compounds their problem. Poor patients often succumb to life threatening diseases, if timely medical assistance is not provided.

Consultancy Studies

Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) undertakes consultancy studies
as requested by various national and international agencies. There are over 100 experienced staff members, across India, who work on these consultancy studies. IGSSS' strength lies in the professional expertise on conducting various types of studies and hands on experience of local issues of the staff members.
