India is a growing democracy with a complex and diverse society of which a large percentage is young. This is a vibrant, constructive force that has great potential to address social issues and create a more just, equitable, and peaceful world. IGSSS recognises the youth as change agents who have the energy, passion and creativity to make a significant contribution to society while also building their skills for the future.  IGSSS works with and for the youth on their educational rights, promoting their employability, promoting harmony among youth in conflict areas, encouraging active citizenship and on networking and policy advocacy. The facilitation of youth development takes place through a right based approach.
Youth Action for Peace, Kashmir
The Project is being implemented in the Urban Area of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The primary objective of the project is to mobilize vulnerable youth for increased awareness towards services, entitlements and rights through promotion, formation of Youth Groups for developing positive thinking and engaging them in socio – economic development. The project is supported by Caritas Italiana.
